A-TEC CMM-4 Sound Moderator
The A-TEC CMM-4 is a high performance, ultra lightweight sound moderator designed for
centrefire rifles up to 7.62 mm calibre.
The A-TEC CMM-4 adds only 220 g (7¾ oz) weight and 160 mm (6¼ inches) net length to a
typical rifle – and with a diameter of just 40 mm, the sound moderator is slim enough to be used
with low-mounted telescopic or iron sights.
Manufactured from 7075-T6 aluminium-alloy, the black anodised modular unit is approximately
half the weight of an equivalent all-steel sound moderator, and is suitable for professional and
recreational use on bolt-action sporting/hunting rifles.
The A-TEC CMM-4 is available with ½"-20 UNF, ½"-28 UNEF, M14x1-NS (no spigot) and
M18x1 internal threads to fit directly onto the rifle barrel.
Performance
The A-TEC CMM-4 sound moderator reduces sound emissions by 24 to 29 dB (depending
on calibre and ammunition type), significantly reduces recoil and eliminates muzzle flash. The
result is a weapon firing full power ammunition, with a muzzle signature similar to that of an
unsuppressed .22 rimfire rifle.
All standard sporting/hunting rifles tested with the A-TEC CMM-4 suppressor comply with the latest
personal noise exposure limit set by European Directive 2003/10/EC (140 Pa or 137 dB(C)).
